In his early 20s, owner Ron Krader became interested in the fruit & vegetable business while working for a short time in the mid-1970s on a farm. Upon his return to Philadelphia, Ron began selling a small amount of produce out of a van, learned the business, & gained valuable experience & connections.
While continuing his small produce company, in 1980 Ron opened a successful natural foods restaurant located in Center City Philadelphia called "Super Natural." It was a one-of-a-kind restaurant on the forefront of all-natural foods & ahead of its time.
Although the restaurant business was thriving, Ron wanted to concentrate on a growing venture within the business - institutional catering. Ron began supplying large institutional facilities with nutritional vegetarian dishes.
